Magic Jack. So for so good. I have been using mine now for over 2 months. I used to have Vonage, and I loved my Vonage. I really didn’t want to give it up, but saving money is more important these days.
But Magic Jack is working just as good. The only stipp is that you have to have it on a PC running XP sp1 or better ( or MAC OSX or better ) to use it. And if you want to use it as your main # your PC/MAC must be left on 24/7. Well with a savings of over $500. a year I can do that.
MJ @ $1.80 a month is fundamentally correct in my book. The only thing I miss about Vonage is the Caller ID with name. Currently MJ doesn’t have Name with their Caller ID service. Hopefully they will soon.
So if your into saving money, go MJ. If you like monthly charges go Vonage. At least Vonage you don’t need to have your pc on. Oh btw there is this new one called ooma. Check it out here.

Skype is a wonderful VOIP service but you need to purchase a phone number (Skype In) plus pay monthly fee that are cheap.
Vonage is truly great VOIP service which give you a lot of features for your money and unlimited calling to USA and Canada.
If you want cheap monthly fees but good quality then go with Skype. If you want the best in call quality and extra features I would recommend using Vonage.
Forget Magic Jack. The voice quality and delay would give you a headache. It would be a waste of money.
