I am a skype user. And my answer would definately be Skype. Have not tried YV but most of my friends who have tried other service providers highly recommanded Skype as well.

I have made calls within and outside Malaysia and all my calls worked perfectly. Even the live video works great.

I prefer Skype because its easy to load credit and I think that it has competitive rates and quality on the countries I call.

I also like the SMS feature. Its cheaper than spending P15.00 to text overseas.

Factors that affect performance is the speed of the connection and the quality of the headset to be used.
